Why am I getting a 550 relaying denied error while sending email?

There are a few things that can cause this error. The first is that you do not have the Outgoing Mail server authorization check marked in your account email settings.

The second is, if you are a new customer and you have never used an outside SMTP server before, it may be that your ISP has blocked access to outside SMTP servers, therefore requiring you to use theirs. Many free ISPs such as Juno, and Netzero do this.
